The Best Paintball Sniper Rifle Reviews

sniper paintball gun

A good sniper in a paintball match can be a game changer.  Some people argue that paint balls don’t fly straight, so snipers are impractical.  To those people I’ll argue that with the right equipment, paint balls fly very straight and a good player can be extremely accurate.

Chances are you already know that a good sniper rifle is lethal, but you’re looking for more information on which marker gets the job done best.  We’re here to help.

With the right amount of time and money, you can increase the distance and accuracy of almost any paintball marker.  You can also waste a lot of time and money in the process.

We’ve played that game already and now we always start with a Tippmann A5 or X7 marker.

Tippmann A5 Sniper

Tippmann A5 Sniper RifleThe A5 is one of the most popular markers in the industry and for good reason.  It’s a very well designed rifle that is extremely reliable.  It’s also easy to disassemble and clean.

If you happen to damage it, which will happen eventually, replacement parts are very common and inexpensive.

This particular marker features a 20″ tactical barrel which increases the overall accuracy and distance.

It also features a collapsible stock which allows you to position the gun in a comfortable manner when lining up your shots.

This model comes with a red dot sight, which is the way you want to go.  A scope is typically unreliable since paintball rifles are not as consistent as standard rifles from shot to shot.

Overall we really like this package.  We didn’t change one component on it and were able to use it very effectively right out of the box.

We also like that you can take off the 20″ barrel and replace it with a shorter one and you essential can use this as a standard marker in close quarters.

Tippmann X7 Phenom Sidewinder

Tippmann X7 Phenom Sidewinder Review

The X7 is an extremely versatile marker.  It can be used in manual or electronic firing modes and has the flexibility to be used with either CO2 or compressed air.

Tippmann has made the X7 extremely efficient which allows the player to take over 1,400 shots with a standard 68 cub inch tank running 4500 PSI.

What makes this an awesome sniper rifle is it has virtually no recoil.  THIS IS HUGE.

When trying to pick someone off from a distance, you want your shots to be as consistent as possible.  When your rifle moves after each shot, it makes it extremely difficult to make the necessary adjustments to pick off your competitors.

As with the A5, replacement parts are inexpensive and easy to find.  That’s one huge benefit of sticking with a major brand.

The X7 is the real deal.  We were laughing our way all the way to the winners stand with this one.
